When the duties of the day have been done and people are resting, the night-watchman will do his vespertine round tour. With a lantern in your hands you will accompany the wantchman over weal and woe of the townspeople through the streets of the historic city centre. Let him tell you of his daily work as well as of the life and drive between dome and Weser: of rich merchants and narrow alleys, of the lively market drive and churchly lordship.  And at the end of the round tour, when his signal sounds, you will not only be privy to `historic errors`, but also to a good piece of long-ago-history(ies) of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
